If you tend to drive a bit harder than most then Brembo have an upgrade but you need at east 18 inch rims i think which makes for an expensive mod. If anyone has done other upgrades that are considerably better than originals and cheaper than Brembo option i would love to here about it.
Yes I do but it would not be a near future upgrade for me. Still I like to consider options available for Tigs. one options I have in mind was AUDI TTRS brakes. I think they are made by brambo and some times second hand kits come out in eBay as owner upgraded their brakes. Only problem see with this option is you need to at least have 19 inch wheels to clear callipers.

depending on the budget, i would start with replacing front rotors with slotted discs, high temp brake fluid (i use motul rbf600), remove the dust shields and use good pads with high MOT.

i have used ebc redstuff and the pads crumbled after a day on Marulan track with stock calipers and the red paint turned black!

i have used hawk hps and did not find them suitable for my needs and experienced brake fade (i should have known as these pads are not suitable for track use at all).

good info here for pads selection:

    Zeckhausen Racing

i have been using stoptech street performance pads (with MOT of 1300 degrees F) and have not had any fade on track sessions over the last 2 years (big contributing factor is front 330mm Stoptech BBK).

imo, BBK gives the biggest benefit no fade in repetitive hard braking.

with my Tiguan, 1/2 hour on Lakeside enthusiastic cruise aka Happy Laps did show some brake fade but a few laps of cooling runs the brakes went back ok.

Good option is the scirocco front brakes. 345mm discs. That's more than likely what I'm doing if the vwr bbk doesn't fit behind my wheels.

345 is quite big, you are going to have to run a minimum 18" wheel to fit those suckers aren't you?
That is my main reason for not going with a BBK and instead going for upgraded brake fluid and if i want more i can get braided lines.

I'd assume so. I know some 17's will just fit over the golf r brakes and these are larger.

    I'll be running a 19
