Yes they are it. I actually got them from Genuine Volkswagen Parts & Accessories - Discount Prices | VWPartsCenter.net.

They actually cost me around $500 including painting. I will take and post a picture, once it finally stops raining.

Original message I received from them and pricing: Thank you the part numbers for the moldings are as follows. LT Front 5n0853515gru $64.29 RT Front 5n0853516gru $64.29 LT Rear 5n0853753gru $64.29 RT Rear 5n0853754gru $64.29 Please note that these moldings do not come in from Volkswagen painted they are only available in primer. Shipping will be roughly $20.00 to ship all of the moldings.

I've just order the ones from. Poland. All up. $120. Delivered by express post. I'll wait till they arrive. Before I make up my mind weather or not to paint them.

You can't get better than OEM, nicely shaped and looks like it belongs. I didn't want to be disappointed by buying cheap ones. Well worth the money!

Hi Suffolk, I went on that parts store you linked to and was like a kid in a sweetshop - ran up a basket of over a thousand bucks just on things like floor mats, window shades, the door trim, rear seat covers etc. Then I got an email from them saying "Unfortunately we cannot ship outside the United States" - duh!

How did you manage to get them?

I'm new to this VW game, but was wondering as it's all genuine VW parts any reason I can't just order through my local dealer? Is it a price thing why people order this kind of stuff from overseas or are some things just not available in Oz?

    Thanks.

That's weird because I purchased these parts from them. You can also buy them from Genuine Volkswagen Parts & Accessories at Jim Ellis Volkswagen
I have purchased various parts from them including wheel arch extension and sun blinds.
They do still ship to Australia.

I've had that problem with a few online retailers from the US. Seems that dealing with different currencies, returns, shipping costs for the 'international' market is too much hassle for them to bother with!
