hmmm I've got the Auto Polar FIS+ Advanced so I can see Litres to Empty on my MFD along with many other VCDS parameters.
Good day all
Not sure about other 2012 Tiguan owners or other new VW models but I did not have this function till yesterday
Plug your VCDS cable in and access module 17 instruments
Enter the UDS Adaption 10 menu
Select the channel with the label "Volume to be replenished"
Change the stored value from "no" to "yes" and then select "do it" to save the setting and exit VCDS
You should now have an extra option in the MFD settings called refuel
A value will then be displayed once 10 liters of fuel has been consumed from a full tank that will be required to safely refuel the tank to full again.
Not sure if this will work with 2011 models but maybe a few 2011 owners can have a crack at and let the forum readers know. I do know from my research on attempting to activate the driver alert system there is suttle differences in the coding between the BCM module 9 and this module with older 2011 models
BTW I am still looking for an Autoscan of a 155 Tiguan please!

That may be so but it did not cost me $300 to do the above
BTW I noted an error in your official VCDS tweaks thread
It should read navigate to 46 central Convenience module not to module 9
Obviously this will only work for pre 2009 VW's and possibly some early versions of the Golf 6
2. Automatically close windows when locking doors
Instead of holding the lock button on the remote down (default behaviour), enabling this setting will close the windows when you press the lock button once.
1. Navigate to 09 - Cent Elec - Long Coding
2. Select Byte 6 and enable Bit 6

Thanks - fixed it
I didn't buy the FIS for the fuel readout, lol. Main reasons were the correct OBD speed and auto mirror drop when selecting reverse. Having Intake temps displayed is handy too. I was doing this on my phone (Torque Pro) sometimes but I prefer it being on the MFD.

Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link
Was just thinking about this & i'm sure everyone's need for this would be different, but i don't think i would want my mirrors to drop automatically whenever i selected reverse... maybe 20% of the time it would be handy? I there a way to easily activate or disable the function?

I would always manually lower the mirrors to aid reverse parking (I back downhill into the driveway, also good for seeing car park lines, gutters etc).
Yes it's easy to prevent the auto-function by just moving the mirror switch before engaging reverse. It will only do it when the switch is pointing to R (wrong way around because devs are based in a LHD country in Europe, but I actually like keeping the switch pointed to the driver mirror)
There's a couple of ways to set up the mirror dipping function.
Auto mode - dips the mirror when your turn indicator is on and you are in reverse
Manual mode - dips when you are in reverse and your mirror switch is on the drivers mirror (yes as Ryan says it's a bit Euro centric but the developers probably aren't going to create firmware especially for the RHD markets so you can have the switch pointing to the passenger mirror to get it to dip).
So in manual mode all you need to do is select the centre or left position and the mirror won't dip.
I have it dipping in manual mode and keep the mirror selector switch on R so I get dipping all the time - I find it really useful. At home I reverse out through gates and it's easy to see the clearance between the rear of the car and the gate post when the mirror is dipped.
