    Tig ACC

Does anyone have the adaptive chassis control in their Tig?

1.Where does the ACC button go?
    2. Does anyone of a picture of the button in their car?
    3. What are people's thoughts about it?
    4. What's the best mode for going over speed bumps?
    5. Anything else you know about it.

I've ordered my Tig with it and can't find out about it and didn't test drive one with it. Thanks all in advance for your knowledge and on a side note my dealer brought forward the delivery date by two months, always makes for a good day.

    My 2 cents

    Hi Ralp2dam

Congratulations on the new Tig. You'll love it. Gotta be happy with the -2 month wait update.

FYI information on the Adaptive Chassis Control can be found here:

Adaptive Chassis Control < Innovative Technology < Volkswagen World < Volkswagen Australia

It is a great bit of tech, but it all comes down to how you drive and what you are expecting to use the Tig for.

In answer to your questions, No I didn’t order our Tig with ACC. My wife will be driving it 90% of the time and wouldn’t push the Tig as hard as I would so it would be wasted - plus I'm ganna try and sneak in some springs & a sway bar on it down the track

The ACC button should be located on the centre dash just in front of the gear shift.

    Button:

Approx location (interior may vary slightly):

Thoughts - again, it comes down to your driving style so most people’s opinion would vary. For me, if the Tig was my daily driver, I would have ordered it with ACC and left it on Sports mode 90% of the time - excluding when driving with the family / passengers. You will find that it will handle and respond better in Sports mode but the ride will be a little harder on your body.

Comfort mode def for speed bumps, unless of course you have dentures/fillings you would like to loosen up

Overall your Tig will handle a lot better than one without ACC. With three options to select from, you should be able to "adapt" the control to your liking

But if you are going to look at replacing springs, etc then it’s a mute point as you will be setting up the car for one style of driving. ACC allows you to have choices

    Vince_S,

Thanks for the excellent reply mate. I was very impressed with the detail and effort you went to.

I've followed a couple of your other posts and glad to hear your Tig has arrived. Please keep us all up to date with what you do to it and your experiences, especially while I'm living vicariously through everyone else's experiences of their Tigs until mine arrives.

Did you come up with your own checklist when you picked your Tig up? Hope you get a chance to detail it soon, I'm very interested to hear how you do it and some pics too would be great.

Keep the quality posts coming mate.

Perhaps we can merge these threads, if Big Brother is watching everything.

Thanks for finding it mate. Threads merged.
Anything else needs merging? just point it out and, if the threads are not too big they could most likely be merged, it makes the searching the section easier for all of us.
