Oh dear lord that looks horrendous!
Like a mix between mushroom brown and champagne.

Why can't we have nice colours like the EU Market.

Picked up the 2012 Tiguan this morning.

Love the ride, but the start/stop feature at traffic lights takes a little getting used to. The engine shuts off entirely, then starts as soon as I take pressure off the brakes. Driving the TDI DSG; the new "coasting" feauture is a nice addition to this car.

It was interesting to see heads turning while driving by - mostly other VW drivers! Not such an ugly grill after all, hey? TIC.

If you are gonna get the APR tune anyway why dun you go for the 132 TSI? The engine is the same so it will put out the same amount of HP after the tune.

the 155 comes with a few things standard that the 132 has as an option.
It also reduces the cost of other options like leather and the RNS.

If you are going to load up the tig it ends up cheaper to spec out a 155.

The Tiguan TSIs DO NOT get a new engine. It has always used the MK6 GTI engine ( EA888 ) in 2 states of tune and NOT the MK5 GTI engine. 147kw was deliberately chosen to mimick the MK5 GTI at the time and had nothing to do with it being the same engine.

It has now been changed to 132 and 155TSI respectively ONLY by doing a slight ECU remap. .
I recalled this post when I was looking at the on-line brochure for the new models and read that the compression ratio for the 132 and 155TSI engines is now 9.6:1 whereas the previous 125 and 147 versions are shown as 10.5:1 so it seems that a remap wasn't the only change.

What would these new values mean with regards to the 132/155 TSIs ? Are they better off or worse off (wikipedia seems to suggest higher compression is better) ? Wonder if this would affect the ECU upgrade in anyway ?
