I hear you BUT it's still my preference, guess in part it's because the other "normal" front would be useless on some of the tracks I go on and so I've always had and preferred the "chiseled look" !!

    Cheers

My vote is for the 28 degree or Track and Field version of the front. Personally I like the look more as does SWMBO who owns current Tiguan. Note this is critical issue !!! But we are in the country and it is also more practical in a small SUV ... IMHO only.

I've just noticed that on Maverick's website it says "No MY12 Change - End of Production" for Tuguan and New Beetle...

Are they discontinuing Tiguan or not?

    2012 Tiguan

I received a call from my dealer today regarding my order.

He confirmed that 2012 147TSI will be 155TSI, and that bluetooth and MDI will be standard. Good news.

Bad news, off road tech and reversing camera not going to be offered as a factory option. Apparently VW can't get supply of the cameras.

Good news about the Bluetooth and MDI they were expensive options. Disappointing about the camera and off road though. From memory the prices were:
    Bluetooth $500
    MDI $370

I doubt they'll be tinted but I hope for future buyers they are.

Yep details are out on Maverick's site.

No front window tints, no mention of flappy paddles and pretty much the same limited amount of options dictated by VGA (minus offroad & RVC previously available)!

Still not clear though, which model Tiguan we're getting!

But my bet would be the same "rest on our laurels" 18 degree version!

Now if you feel like Oliver Twist and want to ask for more.

Don't bother ... cause we pretty much confirmed (today) the usual "GET FCUKED! JUST LEAVE YOUR MONEY AT THE COUNTER" response!

Would have thought it unlikely, seeing the off-road package is being dropped, that you would get the 28º off-road front end. Interesting that the Americans are ONLY getting the 28º front end (at least initially anyway), wonder if they'll be offered the off-road package to go with it ?? To date they've have the 18º front and NO off-road.

    Cheers
