    It also has a longer wheelbase by 80mm so 2684mm vs 2604mm.

    L = 4525mm vs 4427mm
    W = 1809mm (same)
    H = 1685mm vs 1686mm

    Ah, I get it - like the odd-looking stretched Passat - they stitch in extra legroom in the rear, as anyone who can afford a car like this can also afford a driver.
    So, as you had said, a China only version
    TDI tiguan in the drive. ParkAssist, comfort, fogs
    Service every 15,000, new fault code every 7,500km

    Looks the same as the current one. A new grill does not make a new new car. Neither does a new steering wheel. I love my 2010 Tigga and it will serve me well over the next 3 years.

    At the 7th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Show, which opened on Monday, Volkswagen and its Chinese partner Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC) revealed the 2010MY domestic market version of the Tiguan SUV. In comparison to the current Tiguan sold in Europe, North America and other international markets, the Chinese models features a new grille that extends to the headlights and a re-profiled front bumper.

    Inside, from what we can tell by looking at these first official photos, changes are limited to a new three-spoke steering wheel and the redesigned instrument panel that features two central gauges incorporating two smaller dials.

    VW Shanghai's press release does not clarify if these styling changes are exclusive for the Chinese-spec model or if they will pass on to the Tiguan sold in other markets as well.
    I am guesing their are china domestic market modifications as their tig's can seat up to 7 people apparently and they have a lot more product variation than anywhere else.

    The above is not the facelifted version. According to this article, the facelifted version is 2 years away.
