    125 vs 132 . No DSG available?

    Hi all,

I went to a dealer the other day who said that the 132 comes with a standard Auto box, not a DSG like the 125

Is he correct, or just a typical not very bright dealer????

I thought all the 'autos' now were DSG????

Shortage around the world, and allocations to Australia are all autos and are dubbed a special "Pacific" version to compensate.
From memory DSG only available to order next month.

Check Maverick's site for further details.

    congrats mate.
    enjoy!

now dont procrastinate about getting it flashed.....like I did.

I made all the enquiries and waited far too long to actually get it done.

Have fun...189kw in a Tig is so much fun.

Did they issue you with a crystal ball?? I was out at the local APR rep just yesterday talking through the process. After a general chat, we agreed that I would 'run it in' for a month or so, so that I can appreciate the difference when I do get it flashed. Also, there is usually a special price around Easter. So, the end result is that it will happen around Easter.

    Cheers

Keep in mind, that they say that there is often an improvement in fuel consumption too after flashing...it is not just for "speed"
Thats the way you can sell the idea to the better half!!

I imagine this could be a possibility if you were to remain completely frugal-footed...
I regularly utilize the awesomeness of the tune & have found consumption to be up marginally, probably around 0.5l/100.

I know that I will be hopeless when the flash is done. My last car was an xr6 turbo with a chip that took it to 270. On trips and the like, I could be very well behaved, but, shorter efforts saw many 'engine cleaning bursts'

    Roll on Easter

Yep, I agreee really...the car has to be 'cleaned out' regularly!

but it sure sounds great to quote the 'potential' fuel savings. haha

Potential fuel savings. I like it. Not sure she will believe me, but, no harm in trying.

Did you notice any other changes after the flash? Did change points in the DSG cary much?

    Cheers
