$380 for 15000km/1st year servicing a 2011 Tiguan 125TSI, a rip-off?

Independant will be $250-$300; Dealer should be $300-$350 but the price seems to be creeping a bit. You get Canberra Tax as well don't you? (ie: Everyone is an overpaid public servant with bags of money to throw around)

I agree everything is little over priced here in Canberra but unfortunately I am not one of those public servants with extra cash to throw around. Seems like $300 for 15k would be more reasonable then.

What can I say... shop around, you don't have to get your car serviced by the dealer and sometimes you could even be better of.

Booked service with CVWC today, scheduled early of 2011, apparently they are fairly busy with jobs on hand.

Have just been quoted $437 for the 15,000km / 12 Month Service on a 103TDi with DSG at the Dealer I purchased from in Brissy (Northside). Should the Diesel be attracting any price premium over the Petrol? Any thoughts on a quote like that? Seems a little expensive to me, but then again they've looked after us extremely well up to this point and sorted any issues that have arisen ASAP. They throw in a Loan Car for the day as well. Any comments?

diesel & petrol should be within $10 of each other. I think you'll find the loan car isn't very free.

Suggest you shop around & get them to price match as $437 is ridiculous for an oil change & safety check.
