Blaupunkt still do a lot of very plain units. they good thing is many of them will also work with your factory steering wheel controls if you have them!

as far as I am aware,ICE is a European and USA term, used to describe in car entertainment.when I was 18,late 80's it wasnt called ICE,it was called your" deck".the slang term for amphetamines is "ice" and that is a aussie term.I was not referring to this.

Clarion headunit. I love it cos it was very affordable, looks damn good, retains a stock look, RCA outputs for amps later on (currently have an AUX plug hooked up to it so I can plug in my Creative MP3 player) and USB too.
It's a black head-unit; the lights are white with dark blue backgrounds - my dash is navy blue in colour so this suits it well. I'm thinking of refitting my dash lights to white LED's so it'll all match. They're currently the dull green

Cool - thanks for the feedback guys. I might go the full hog and just get get a touch screen that supports sat nav...

Kenwood DDX-6039 (i think) or KVT-747dvd can be had for a good price with bluetooth and sat nav.

Hmmm - I really like the Kenwood DDX-6039. I might have to wait and save my penny's for that one.
