    What can i retrofit

    Hi guys,

I have a golf mk7 2013 highline with a discovery pro (the older smaller one). The pixels on the screen however are dying wondering if there's a unit with bigger screen i can retrofit and work with it if not else i can find which would be an upgrade to fit. I have the stock rear camera etc too so hoping to keep that functionality.

You can retrofit the new 9.2 inch infotainment and Discover Pro MIB 2.5, also the Active Info Display instrument cluster if you want to really update....
Or you can do MIB2 with 6.8 or 8 inch screen.

They are right in that you can't straight swap it.
Once you install a new radio it will immediately lock it with component protection.
A dealer can unlock it, but all feature enable codes for Bluetooth, navigation, app connect etc will need to be restored.
Again it can be done with the dealer tools, just depends if they are willing to do it for you.
You will also need to install a dab antenna or a splitter from your FM antenna.

Yes it's what I believed. Dealer can do it.
No difference that replacing faulty unit.
They are telling me its cannot be retrofitted.
    Thanks for your answer.
