    VR6 Issues.

Nothing major, just lacking a few things I didn't notice until the drive home after picking it up.
Passenger side rear window won't budge. Guessing it's a dead motor or a snapped cable?
Also, Cruise-Control gives out nothing. Not totally sure on how to work it, nothing I tried worked though.

There's also a large female plug in the dash, next to the rear window switches.
Reminds me of a diagnostics plug for the ECU. It's uncovered and looks messy which is annoying. Any ideas what this might be?

Oh, what sort of locking system did VR6's (1996) have from the factory? Remote keyless entry?

In regards to the rear window stuck, that will be a dead window reg. They are a common problem in MK3's, but thats just the way it is! Quick search and you will come up with plenty of info

Cruise control, search will bring up some threads.

No idea what the plug is!

Locking system is a pneumatic powered system, and pretty sure it was only standard central locking on Aus del MK3s. In the states they came out with remote, but it can be retrofitted to ours (aftermarket job).

Ooo thanks. The aftermarket alarm system is annoying me, and my main Volks key has a button (the Volkswagen logo), and was wondering if this is part of the OEM remote locking.

The Mk3 didn't have remote locking in Australia that I know of. That button is for a little light in the key.

Correct. Some actually had dealer accessories fitted but any others you see are most likely aftermarket.

The plug is indeed an ECU plug-in, and by the sounds of it, you're missing the cover that goes over it! I'm sure someone will send you one for like 5 bucks haha.
