Very interested in this - does it require the RNS510?
Thats right guys. For some of you who have read the Golf R threads going around in the MK6 forum.
Volkswagen Australia are offering a factory fitted bluetooth kit for $550 when you order your car. And its apparently just every bit as complete and well done as the Skoda Kit (currently regarded as the best bluetooth setup you can get in VW Cars in Australia).
The Produce Code is:
9ZB
I am in the process of asking my dealer if this can be ordered in still and dealer fitted. If anyone has more information, please post this up.

My dealer has confirmed that this new Bluetooth kit cannot be dealer fitted. It is factory only.
The next best kit to fit to your VW is the Skoda kit.
My dealer has quoted me $1500 fully installed. And that comes with a warranty from the dealer, which imo beats anything a third party can offer, just incase something goes wrong.
The only issue is now I want to get Euro Plates on the car to. So its another $2000 ontop of what I agreed to.

I spoke with Camberwell VW this afternoon and they told me that this new bluetooth solution from VW Aust is based on the mObridge Bluetooth technology .... see mobridgeinc.com I am having it installed ahead of delivery this week at a cost of $795. It may be based on the same Skoda technology that is talked about in these threads or a variation, or, upgraded platform thereof ... not sure ?? Being in the IT industry myself, I know how quickly companies can get bought out by other companies only to have the old product name rebranded as something else. Anyway, whether this is true or not, this is what I have been told and I'm expecting it to do the job. Will let you know.
It's nothing like the Skoda bluetooth. It doesn't even use the factory position for the microphone and uses a gigantic twin microphone setup instead. Looks pretty crappy IMO and I can bet there will be plenty of problems with different firmware versions of different parts of the car just like the Fiscon has. If this has been organised by Volkswagen Australia there is no way it's factory fitted.

I was going to get the dealer BT kit at $895 on my new car, but I changed my mind at last minute. This was through Barloworld Mascot. Sounds like I'm glad I did. The rep told me it is a Nokia kit.
