    Volkswagen Golf/Jetta SAT NAV

    Hi All

I am new to this forum and would like to take the opportunity to introduce my company and our products to you. We are based in Melbourne Victoria and have been operating for around 3 years. We specialize in the distribution of in-built GPS/DVD entertainment systems. All our products are backed by 12 months AUSTRALIAN warranty.

We have recently had some new additions to our SAT NAV range, one of which being the Volkswagen Golf and Jetta GPS system. This system is fully compatible to exiting wiring looms.

For any information regarding our range of products please go to www.auspack-electronics.com or http://members.optusnet.com.au/auspacks/ and click on the link for Volkswagen AVC. All sat nav systems come preloaded with the latest Route 66 software, include a night vision reversing camera and are fully compatible with steering wheel remotes. All units come with Ipod adapters, TV tuners and a high definition LG touch panel screen.

    e-mail me on auspacks@optusnet.com.au or call on 0437 491 743.

    Thanks

That looks very tempting actually, are you going to have a demo car available at any stage, id be keen to have a closer look at that.

i was thinking of getting ipod/usb adapter but that looks a lot neater and just noticed it has bluetooth built in, what does it use for a mic, could save a lot of messing around.

March timeframe is probably when i can afford something anyway.

Does it have to cone with the reversing camera? not sure id even use such a thing, even if i had it adn would prefer to keep the cost down than buy something unecessary

just to put it in perspective here. theres tonnes of double din size systems like this one on ebay. all you need is a fascia that will essentially convert your golf's unique sized space for the head unit into a regular double din sized one. but this looks very clean and tidy indeed

Is it compatible with the Highline MFD to display song/track info, navigation instructions etc? I see the steering wheel controls still work

THis may sound like a silly question, but how will this unit compare with the new RNS 510?

Looking at the pics there is a mic on the front of the unit.
I wonder how good this would work as opposed to a roof mounted mic.?

It probably cant be much worse than the blueant i am using at the moment.

Id defo like to see a demo of it first. I've seen RNS510's for about 1000 Euro so its not that much more for them.
