If there's no hard-drive, where do the maps get stored? On the flash card I presume. How much software modding potential does this unit have? Like could I interface it to my PC to change settings/programs? Or even change them on the SD card itself (assuming the settings are stored there)?

My assumption is that any modding can be done via either USB drive or SD card. its probably a lot more moddable than an RNS510.

I'd also be interested in this unit and the RNS 510's ability to put in Speed camera locations, i drove in the UK last year with a Tom Tom loaded with all camera locations and it was a license saver.

I am really keen on one of these. Seems like really good value for the price.

As much as I think the RNS510 looks fantastic, I think it is about $1000 too much from a value perspective. Just my opinion. I guess anything is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

I would love to know how well these units work in car (and whether the GPS needs an external aerial to operate effectively)....
