I know it has been asked 10000 times probably, but does anybody know if they are still able to be purchased and where at.

    Thanks.
You need to do a "little" self help. Read the first post in this thread. You will see a link to the original supplier. Then you need to contact him and see if he is still in this business.

I have just found a UK website that has some good actual pictures of this device and the connection the in back.

It definitely shows a lot more connections than the stupid manual

Ok I have decided to buy one of these.

Rob from AVC has advised that you get a choice of IGO8 or TomTom. Which should I choose? I have used TomTom for years and find it quite intuitive and easy. Whats IGO like?

    a choice?

When we purchased from Rob...you got Route66, Tomtom, IGO8 all on the one card. Better confirm with him again...maybe he's "setting" it up for you.

I prefer IGO8....and when we get the street number problem sorted out in the NEW IGO8, then I will swap over to that.

Maps can be sorted out quite easily. Plenty of available "resources" (if you know what I mean).

But..if he's giving you a choice....IGO is the way to go.

I only received Route66 and TomTom on my unit. I use TomTom at the moment.

Does anyone know how big the IG08 folder is on the memory card? I would like to get a copy an put on mine, as it's meant to be the best?

The version on the card is about 350MB. I have a new version of IGO8 and that is 548MB

I also have got only Route66 and TomTom. It would be interesting for me to look what is the IGO about because I have no idea what is it What does it do better than TomTom? Always used before TomTom. Have tried routte66 and it is not good. Currently I'm using TomTom.

Does anyone use bluetooth? I have found interesting effect on mine. Sometimes it keeps the volume level for bluetooth different from volume level on radio. Has happend several time but I still can't figure out what are the conditions.

And also have found another bug: if the USB in use and a call accepted by bluetooth, then after that the unit doesn't return back to the USB mode. I need to unplug USB and plug it again.

Bluetooth sucks, so don't rely on it.
    Wish I had IGO.

I don't know if I should get a Parrot 3200 car kit ready to install at the same time as when I put in the AVC9000. I would like to test the AVC9000 first but if its crap for bluetooth, I will need to pull apart the dash again to put in the Parrot.
