has anyone loaded this onto their RNS510? Does it still have issues with zoom in out where street names are blank and you need to zoom in out to see?

Seems to work well re street names - doesn't give you heaps of them (but you'd not want the clutter anyway)... Think it's pretty similar to V6 in this regard..

Doesn't apply to you in SA but for people in NSW it does incorporate the new alphanumeric route numbering scheme (i.e. M1, M31, A36, B59 etc)...

As a skoda owner can I get my map update from any vw dealer? I just know that Brighton skoda will want to charge me $500+.

Yes it's exactly the same disc for all.

Are you sure on this? The VW parts guy I spoke to said that early versions of the VW maps were priced similarly but have since come down... I'd be surprised that Skoda would charge almost ten times the price for the same disc..

p.s. If VW charge $55, Skoda charge ≈$500 I wonder what Bentley charge? (the disc also having a Bentley part number)... Probably $2000 but the DVD would come in a leather-bound mahogany case with felt lining and gold embossing...

back when v5 came out, i was quoted $65 from lennock skoda in canberra.
