Thats why it worked As two of us said in previous posts the 850 that is in some Touaregs needs the code and I think a different map disc as well.

Look forward to hearing what enhancements there are on the v5 map. Hopefully they've at least fixed the speed limit errors (and more recent map edition, of course)

V5 map for example is based on Sensis 2011 (Q1) database.

All else being equal, V6 will be 2012 Sensis map.

So 5hithouse by portable GPS unit standards!

The V4 maps I got in my car in 2011 were 2 years out of date as they didnt have the new Gateway motorway in them nor the Bribie interchange which opened well before I got the car, mid 2010 if I remember correctly
Both are in V5 but some other roads that have been there since 2011 are not.

Hopefully the Tunnels in Brissy might make it this time. For the price of the unit we should get free maps as original owners.
So far the dealer has upgraded mine for free but its an hour drive each way so will wait and see what turns up I think.

In contrast my Tomtom has a new map every 3 months for about $12.50 a time.

Bought one in the USA which had free maps and traffic for life for $118 to use when I was over there.

It would appear they have added traffic updates. As described in post #79 over on the vwgolf forum. Which would make sense as it was enabled on CD_7703. My experience is the SUNA updates are pretty terrible, but at least the button actually does something. Will have a chat to my dealer in Melbourne on Friday and see if they can do a similar deal.
