    Yes, they're pretty new.

$60 is a good price (relatively speaking).

    Interesting.....finally at the dealers now.
Just got off the phone with VW Australia on Monday trying to have V6 maps loaded on an RNS850 (Touareg) Sat Nav to no avail. Not just a case of sticking in the disc and following promps, need an activation code of which (surprise, surprise) VW Australia have no knowledge of.
Was asked on why I need my maps updated anyway if the current ones work aright????? When questioned them on likely pricing they stated that there was no fixed/standard price, so $60 sounds good if it is actually version 6.

I'll probably pick one up/talk my way into one. Particularly if the poi side of thing is improved. It will be a tax deduction anyways.

So a code is needed this time? I wonder if its on all units, I know my 510 didn't need a code for the downloaded v5 maps. I take it no v 6 has made it's way online yet?

There was a thread somewhere I read recently that said the 850 was different and needed a card with a code on it.
The card was held by the dealer and wouldnt be let out of their sight EVER!!!!!!.
I guess it will come to the 510 eventually so they can suck more money out of us.

$60? I may invest. Have they fixed the speed limits? Any other improvements?

Yeah, the RNS850 is different to the RNS510 in that along with a DVD there is also a requirement to apply an activation code to enable the system to read and load the maps, look out any Golf VII buyers as the new RNS PRO satnav has the same set up.

If dealers actually had the activation codes little then letting it out of their sight it would be nice.
