Upgrading my stereo?

Hi guys,

I have the factory headunit in my 07 Jetta and I have to say that I would expect better audio coming from a car close to 50k.

Does anyone know if an aftermarket amp can be easily fitted to the factory headunit? Or if there are any manuals of how to get to and fit speakers around the car as it may be the case that just the speakers need to be upgraded.

welcome to the cruddy sound of a mk5 Jetta.

It's terribly designed.

Yes you can install the likes of Arc Audio KS125.4 Mini from the factory stereo.

It will sound a little better, But Sounded the doors of the car and then you will notice a great improvement.

But Which radio do you have ?
RCD300/RCD500/RCD310/RCD510 or RNS510?

The RCD300 radio sounds like crap.

I also have a rcd300, I am wanting to get Bluetooth connectivity so that I can stream audio from an iPhone, could someone please give me some advice. I was also toying with the idea to pull it out an put in an alpine unit or something, any I.sues I don't know about with doing this?
