    How quick the battery go flat ???

    I've heard overnight, but I think thats with the RNS510, which is more power hungry than the others.

    Be also aware that even though you have battery drain, the radio might turn itself off when the battery charge is low, thus you might just get an almost discharged battery.

    Well the RCD310 is now installed in my MK5 and I'll be monitoring it overnight to see how the battery voltage goes.

    I confirmed that the unit had the same standby current draw as the RCD500 but I figured the real test would be to leave it over night.

    Hooray. No flat battery. Lost 0.02v overnight which is not really much considering temperature variation the battery would have seen. That was over 10hrs. I guess the real test is 48hrs!
