    type R splits

    Trying to install 2 Alpine Type R 6 x 6 splits in my 2000 model VW Passat Variant, in the doors but am confused with the wiring. which wires are negative and positive?

    1st off, lol at 6x6.... which wires are you confused with? the factory ones or the ones for the typr r tweeters, if its the latter the trace wire (one with the white line) is positive, if its the factory ones, no idea, it doesnt really matter as long as you get them the same way on both sides (so if you put the back to front on the drivers side, get them back to front on the passanger side) or you'll have phasing issues (they'll sound like poo basically) i could tell you to go make a speaker popper, pop the speakers, see which way they move etc but, yeh... if theres a clip on the plug, pick a side of the plug in relation to the clip and make that either + or - then do the same on the other side and you should be in audio bliss in no time
