    T5 Radio turns off?

    Hi, I have 2010 t5 bi-turbo which I have had since new.
I have had several other VW's over the years and have never had one with this problem.
When I either turn the ignition on or when I turn the engine off and leave the key in the ignition the radio will turn off after about 20 mins, the same as if I turned the radio on without the key.
All other VW's I have had the radio will stay on until the key is removed. This can be very annoying if you are working and want to listen to the radio, there is no way you can make it stay on longer than 20 mins.
It had a VW Bluetooth kit fitted when new and I wonder if this could have something to do with it?
VW service say there is nothing wrong and it is to save the battery, unfortunately this vehicle has a few other problems in the last two years and the service company have not been very helpful so I really wanted to put out there and see what some other people may think.

    Thanks
    Steve

Maybe someone with VCDS could help you, by scaning the syatem for any faults. Look in the VCDS section there is a thread "VCDS Who Can Help".

My golf does the same ,if i just swith to ACC the radio will switch off after 30 minutes ,could be because the RNS 510 uses more power and as a safty measure it cuts out after 30 minutes .

    That's what the manual says.

Mine does it too. You'll also find that various lights etc. also turn off after a while if left on.
