Superb TDI Ambition Wagon - Bolero Voice Control

Hi,

I have just taken delivery of a MY12 Skoda TDI Ambition Wagon, and the things that have surprised me (having come from a Octavia TDI) are

• Voice control with the Bolero Radio.
• iPhone Bluetooth connectivity (Displays song title on Bolero Radio and allows you to change track numbers via the buttons on your steering wheel and the Bolero touch screen).

Is this new to the MY12 or have these functions always been there?

Hi Mike, just picked up MY12 Skoda TDI Ambition Wagon (Platin Grey...nice) and still working things out...lots to explore.

I haven't found any reference to the voice control on the Bolero. Could you explain how this works/set up?

It's a new thing.
Previously the Bolero (rcd510) did not have voice control.
With BT streaming, it seems the newer modules display the song title & provide greater control.

Thanks for that! I think I would not have know as the rep didn't mention it. I rang him and he said it was a surprise Easter egg! so got it going...pretty cool. Now only if it played DVD's too! Oh well can't have everything.

I have looked at the non genuine SatNav units too. They look good but I would not want to give up any features and am in no hurry.
