what components do you have added to the RNS?
Bluetooth?
RVC/Park Assist?

The Kufatec cable is likely to be the culprit, and if you don't have that, but have other items added, I'd suggest disconnecting them and put the RNS back to a 'bare-bones" unit and see if it works. If it does...then add each component until you find the one that trips it up.
Dean found that the Kufatec VIM cable was the culprit...and we believe that a similar situation has occurred to a unit here in Perth (that has a Kufatec cable)

So, back to the RNS 510 - i do have an A unit, all the symptoms match, tried a firmware upgrade (worked) but still it won't communicate properly with the car. Hope that you found out the issue. Motherboard perhaps?
