    RNS-510 + after market sub?

Just wondering what the easiest way to go about this is? I noticed an old thread where a guy had an adapter that went straight into the back of the rns and led out cables to go to the amp without having to cut wires.

Does anyone know the parts needed and the best way to get the cable to run to the boot?
    Thanks!!

Shouldn't need to cut wires at all?
Go from the fusebox to the panels under the seatbelt, and fit an RCA converter under there too (unless your headunit has RCA)
    Unless I'm misunderstanding your question.
If you're not confident then the guys at Autobarn will do it for 120$. But It's cool doing it yourself. Although it can get a bit messy. You have to make sure you're running the cables very neatly to the boot.

There is a dedicated site to the RNS 510. Maybe you'll be able to find your answer there:

was speaking of something like this:
How to make a PnP harness to connect an amplifier to an RNS-510

however for a sub only, not for all 4 channels :S

I've used a signal converter that you just splice into speaker wires and then connect your rcas too in a friends car and it works fine, only like $10 at jaycar but yeah that involves cutting wires. Probably much easier then having to run rcas all the way from the head unit to the back though

Will still have to run the battery cable to the back though right? I also heard that its better to tap into the front wires and not the back :O

you need a line out signal converter, i got mine off ebay (stinger) for like $25
splice your rear speaker lines (or use quick taps) and then you need a ground lead.
RCA cables plug into the line out converter

youd wanna use the rear ones coz if you want to lower the signal to the sub you can just use the fader in EQ
