I am not sure if this is the best forum to post this in to get the best response, but here goes.
I have been quoted a labour cost of $1400 by one of the best audio installers in Australia just for installing 1 amp, 1 sub (already in box), front and rear splits, head unit, steering wheel interface, and a full body sound deadening pack. I already have the components (less the sound deadening)....I assume it also covers tuning of the system as well, but it just seemed a bit high to me. I am willing to pay a bit more for these guys because they are so good, but that's nearly double the price I paid to have it installed in my other VAG car.
Any one with experience in this sector?

There's a couple of people that have DIY their stereos into a Tiguan. If you're supplying all the parts then it does sound a bit much.
