Have the dodgey brothers made a come back and now selling Skodas?

Sorry to add salt to the wound, but that map was produced:
    Date: 16.2.2011
    db: 2009 (Q4).

    Fcuken 3 year old map!

And you've not noticed occassionally you're driving across large patches of GREEN or BLUE?

I'd definitely ring up their receptionist, JAN and tell her that you're "NOT HAPPY!"

There is a link to the V5 map in the sticky. Download it and try it yourself!

Definitely can't be any worse than your current blast from the past!
    Will try it out tonight.

    Thanks for the input guys.

Upgraded to V5 map, it is better for calculating ETA. Obviously it has the incorrect freeway speed limits programmed that others have noted.

The sticky mentions "extra custom POI built in", anyone know what exactly has been added? POI's look the same to me.

Look in the "All Categories" folder. Should be a 5hitload of Australian ones I loaded.

But hang on ... keep forgetting you're a Skoda. I didn't load any for that.

So best to pick up my latest file that you load via SD Card. Look in the Custom POI sticky (post #21).

Dont know about the other as I have never used it
I just loaded V6 and some of the speed limits in my area where adjusted but I've found now it changes to slow. there was a stretch of highway that showed as 60 instead of 100 now it shows 100 but as it changes to 80 then to 60 at a roundabout then to 80 again its to slow. goes to 60 when I hit the next 80 then briefly goes to 80 before my turn off back to 60 and won't change from 80 untill im in my drive where it goes to 50 there are km,s before each change so has plenty of time

I didn't test the v5 maps in this area as I am on holidays, but have found that a lot of B roads I have been driving are 50 in the map, and 80 on the road.
This has resulted in some route miscalculations in the order of detours of an additional 30 mins on a 40 min drive...
The second time I drove the route was told to do a U turn about 20 times before the recalculation finally kicked in and cut the expected arrival time in half.

Moral of the story is with ANY GPS or online mapping solution is they are a tool to augment a general idea of your route...

Thanks, will load up some separately and have a look. With the columbus are the map/poi files integrated differently somehow? What I mean is that since you integrated extra POI into the V5 map that I downloaded is there are reason they wouldn't show up on columbus as opposed to a VW version RNS510?

They are in a separate sub folder when you open up the original POI.

In fact 4 separate folders of the same thing:
    - Bentley
    - Seat
    - Skoda
    - VW

Given for each poi category, you have to manually type up, load the icon and poi coordinates as two files, and there's hundreds of them.

Let's just say ... I will never add it for the other makes or sub folders unless I happen to own one of those.
