    Rns510 w fiberdyne bt

    Hi all,
I just picked up my Octavia vRS which did not have factory Bluetooth. The dealer had a Fiberdyne kit installed and there is one of those horrible little mics sticking out of the a pillar trim.
    Looks terrible.
My question is (without pulling stuff apart which is my next step) is this mic superfluous?
Even without a factory bt kit I thought there was a mic in the light fitting in the ceiling for the Rns510 voice controls.
If anyone already has had some experience with this I'd appreciate your input before I start pulling things apart to see if I need to order an oem mic kit.
Other than that am loving the car! Drove from Melbourne yesterday back to Sydney without having to fill up.
    Thanks in advance.

If your voice control is working then you have the overhead mic. You can then take a feed of this mic from the rns and feed it into your bluetooth module

Thanks thats what I thought. Putting in the external mic was a bit daft then. Plus ugly. Will sort it out next week. Now to look up how to pull the rns510...
