RNS510 problems in 2010 Skoda Superb

My Columbus system was augmented by an external but factory endorsed 6stacker CDplayer in addition to the standard 6stacker in Columbus head unit and Ipod MP3 thru media interface. All up media options were 2 x 6stackerCD, Ipod, HDD and SD card. All installed by factory trained technician at local Skoda Service centre in Canberra and was working very well. Additional amplifiers and new high quality speakers installed separately but integrated and working with RNS510.

Some 2 years later an unfortunate event occurred(long story) requiring complete ECU re-flash of all electronics by local dealer service centre. End result all previous settings erased and now only Columbus 6stacker, Ipod and HDD available for use. Cant change out old Ipod and replace with other MP3 device even with appropriate interconnect cable for MDI. The original factory technician who configured system finished contract and returned to Europe. Local dealer unable (unwilling!!) to help. I am willing to travel to Sydney and environs to discuss repair options or possible upgrade of head unit if necessary. Can anyone help me out please?

Not exactly sure what you mean by reflash of all electronics but its possibly just a coding issue.
Also a bit of a contradiction which confuses things as the RNS only has a single CD slot, not a 6 disk stacker.
If your Columbus unit has navigation, then this is an RNS510.
If you have a colour screen and 6 disk integrated, but no navigation, then this is an RCD500.

Either way if you just need to check the aux coding for the unit get hold of someone with VCDS and look it.

    RNS510 coding is like this:

Thanks Kamold, I shall try and find somebody locally who can give me the correct information and let you know. The unfortunate event I spoke of earlier caused all the car electronics to go completely haywire, mfd , lights, indicators, fast glass switching off and on and doors locking/unlocking. Fortunately it did go into some safety mode that allowed us to get it to the service centre but despite factory re-flash it has never been the same since. Seats/side mirror memory no longer works, towbar(factory model) wiring connection shuts everything down when connected and Columbus unit wont allow changes to MDI.

It sounds like the whole car could do with a good going over...

I would suggest getting in touch with Umai Naa aka Dean (VW mobile servicing) who services Canberra as well as Sydney.
