RNS510 - Naming Radio Stations - How?

does anyone know if its possible to give names to radio stations.
for example i have "104.1" saved in my station list, preset #7.
however i want it to show "2Day FM" intead of "104.1".
is this possible?

i've googled here there everywhere - no luck.

pretty sure mine shows the names of the radio stations... i haven't set anything in order for it to do it. Not sure if it was done during predelivery of the car or if it is an automatic thing that requires the radio station to broadcast the info and the RNS will display it etc..
will have a look this arvo on my way home and confirm what it displays.

it should be automatic, depending whether the radio station broadcast a text data of its name or not...

Station names are broadcast as part of the RDS broadcast. Some stations do not broadcast all the info (ie song title) or anything at all. I suspect we get nothing on the J's in Brisbane because we are an hour behind the rest of Oz (if only it was just the hour...) for half the year. Al..

yep.. mine definitely shows the name of the radio station. as stated above it must be broadcasted

hmm....maybe its a canberra thing - broadcasters not broadcasting that info!!
