    RNS510 Music Streaming

Need help please, I installed a RNS510 into my 2010 MkV 125kw 2.0 TDI Jetta yesterday, Head unit Part no: 1T0035680D, HW Version: H70, SW Version: 4120, Map Version: HDD 7492 and had a exsiting Bluetooth Module Part no: 7P6035730B SW: 0440 HW: H05
First issue: My music plays through the bluetooth from my Iphone 6, but I can't see any track names on the Head unit or the MFD and can't select or skip tracks via the Head unit or Steering wheel buttons, only via the phone.
Second issue: When the coding was done I had the compass and heading for Satnav on my MFD but lost my Climatronic And OPS sensor displays on the head unit, we changed the coding so I have Climatronic and OPS displayed on the head unit but now lost the compass and heading display on MFD.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
    Thanks
    Jacques

I believe the 7P6035730B is the early version of 9w7 Bluetooth module that lacks some features like track information, selecting or skipping tracks, and voice activation...
I'm not 100% sure about that though.

    That's a 9ZB unit.

Whilst it supports A2DP (streaming music profile) it does not support AVHCP v1.3 which is required to allow track information to be displayed on the head unit and MFD. AVHCP v1 allows the steering wheel controls to skip tracks etc. This is also only supported with the newer 9w7 modules.

Those two features are not mutually exclusive.
Are you able to post a full autoscan of your car?

Okay I installed a 7P6035730J module this morning, bluetooth music streaming issue sorted can see track info and skip via steering wheel controls.
Now to short out my MFD display issue, could a it be BAP related issue where my climatronic unit not is speaking to the head unit and MFD
Thanks for all the help so far😃

Yes it sounds like a coding issue, but in order to debug it you'll need to find out what your current coding is.
