If you visit my Skoda bluetooth install page here I keep a link to the seller and his website. It's Stu in the UK.

I've had no problems with my Fiscon.
I haven't heard of any major problems but don't have a lot of faith in Kufatec whereas the oem Skoda kit is fantastic.

Cool. Thanks Maverick. I'll drop him an email and get a price inc shipping so I can update my sticky.

Re Kufatec / Fiscon - are you saying your issues are with Kufatec not the Fiscon itself? If you have had issues for the benefit of those here that are thinking of buying it would be good to post them... there are heaps looking at the options at the moment.

*gulp* I've ordered their Video In Motion... can you share with us the problem with the Kufatec VIM?
The video in motion problem is that the only feature that it has doesn't work which is the ability to disable it by pressing a button on the steering wheel. It displays video in motion however so at least that works.

Don't get me started on the video in and the reverse camera interface, I'll post on those soon enough.

And BTW - minor detail - it's not Fiscon Pro. The one you are talking about is called fiscon basic plus.
    Thanks Swallowtail

    1. I thought you were asking me for the pricing as I posted 650 for the Fiscon Pro as well

    2. I'm confused about the Pro vs Fiscon Basic Plus as Fiscon mentioned that it's exactly the same. I've posted the link below for reference.

    Quoted from Fiscon's website: http://fiscon-mobile.com/products/faq.php

Q: I have read the words "Basic-Plus" and "Pro". Are there differences?

A: The words "Basic-Plus" and "Pro" are standing for exactly the same products and are used parallel. They declare FISCON products with operation from the navigation system or MMI.

    Cheers

Thanks Maverick!! I read somewhere that we need to press some steering button to enable/disable it...

But I can't find any more feedback on the Video In Motion adapter.

Sorry to hear about your trouble with the input and rear view camera from Kufatec.. i've not used it myself... but would be good to hear your feedback as I was considering the ipod + video input Kufatec adapter.

    Thanks for sharing again!!!

Yeah $1500 for bluetooth does sound awefully expensive, isn't there any like $300ish options lol... the MMI sounds like a good idea to be honest and for around $400 sounds alright, but if I get the MMI can I get the Iphone to work the same as a bluetooth via the Ipod cable.

wow, to be honest that's probably the most important and beneficial feature... any idea why it won't work, that would be sooo goood... I wouldn't mind that

As your quote shows Fiscon officially call it the Basic-Plus now, not the Pro. I was just clarifying that what you were referring to was the Basic-Plus.

The MDI (not MMI) is a neat piece of kit. Not sure what you mean by "work the same as a bluetooth vis the Ipod cable" though... when you connect an iPod to the MDI you get full control of the iPod from the head unit, including selecting artists, genres, albums, etc. What else do you mean?

The cheapest Bluetooth that you will get fully integrated will set you back about 800 or 900. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, see this sticky - http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...ad.php?t=31461

Re maverick's issues with Kufatec & / or Fiscon, so far we have:

    1. Video in Motion - can't disable the ViM from steering wheel control
    2. Unspecified details but "don't have a lot of faith in Kufatec"
    3. Reverse camera not activating 10 - 15% of time on reverse selection (is that correct Maverick, I remember reading that somewhere in the last day or two but can't find it now).

er... actually, if you follow the Fiscon quotes/url I posted earlier, they call it the Pro

    See these 2 links:

lol.. but no worries.. it's all good since it's all the same

I'm more concern if it works well
