Thank you to ian and Gasb.
I successfully updated my map to V4.1.

Now I'm not sure if it's worth upgrading to firmware 3xxx from C ver SW2720.

I just did firmware 3720 over 2720 and haven't noticed many new features
The map seems to refresh a lot more frequently and is a lot smoother.
    the splash screen is new
the automatic day/night display on the map is jsut that - day/night. It's no longer dependent on whether your headlights are on/off
My OPS image seems to have shifted up so now it displays a larger area behind my car. How it knows my Caddy has roof rails I have no idea

However I still can't get speed limit display to work. I haven't mucked around with POIs either. But this firmware upgrade did erase my HDD so music / map needed to be reloaded. Coding wasn't reset though which is good for people who don't have VCDS.

Thanks Ian for the link, it worked perfectly

Hi LAMS there are no speed displays with the 4.1 map , the speed cameras were put together by KAMOLD and separately installed over the top , he did my RNS for me and it shows all the Cameras red light and mobile but with no audio still beats what Vw put out as a modern Satnav .

Hi guys, after updating my maps to 4.1 I've noticed my car position is lagging on the map by maybe 50m.
Has this got to do with not having an updated firmware of 3xxx. Coz I'm still on 2720.
I've d/l 3810 last night and thinking if this would solve it. Advice please?

There is no such thing as speed limit display on the RNS-510.

Would be worthwhile updating to 39xx firmware as the refresh rate seems better so may improve perceived location accuracy. YMMV however...
