we've turned on TV Tuner via Vagcom and now it appears in Setup!

BUT it remains "greyed out" in Setup .. which means we cannot activate it

Has anyone tried this with different RNS510 firmware versions?

    Cheers!

Hey Hannson, is this the KCE-425I iPod Video interface? we're getting them here soon and I'm curious as to what you've used to enable operation off the head-unit? or is it via ir remote with just the display on the h/u?
Any info will be really appreciated before we land them in Aus.

    cheers

before you buy, please let me know because we are buying a quite a number of units in Singapore.. and can probably leverage on the pricing together.

Yes.. this is the KCE 425I iPod video interface.

We bought the Kufatec interface with OEM controls.. but it doesn't work too well.. so we also use the remote the KCE 425I comes with.

E.g. on the RNS510, we can scroll through the Option using the Right Knob on the RNS510... but there isn't an "Enter" button.. e.g. if we push the Right Knob, it doesn't function as "select" or "enter"

We're not sure if it's a RNS510 issue or the Kufatec interface having issues.

At this point, we just use the KCE remote control to save the heartache kekeke... It's great though!!! woohoO!!!

Nice. I assume you still need a separate video in motion adapter, or does this allow it?

    cheers,

    Hi!

You only need the "Video in Motion" adapter if you want to watch video on the move

Thanks for that, they don't miss you on separate adapters ol' kufatec. Be good once their products are a bit more reliable too.

I can't say i'm really bothered with watching movies in the car while it's moving, and didn't bother much with my aftermarket HU too. Guess i prefer music, but would be good if you were waiting in the car or something..

Just not worth getting a fine, so don't get caught.
