What do you mean by back to normal?
Can you use the unit, change menues etc?
If so can you hold down setup until you get to the 'extra' menu and then check the sw revisions, hdd status etc?
Hello
I have following unit:
Address 37: Navigation (J0506) Labels: 1T0-035-680.clb
Part No SW: 1T0 035 680 D HW: 1T0 035 680 C

ASAM Dataset: ------------------------- ------
VCID: 2F69178F4D1
and recently upgrade my hdd to ssd. Now I'm trying to perform firmware upgrade to repartition hdd.
I tried different FW versions 2760,3890,3960 and all of them refuse to load.
When I put CD in, unit goes to black screen and tell me that if found SWL software, then reboots VW logo comes up with red writing on the top and bottom, and then nothing ..... reboots again as normal, CD doesnt eject and unit reboots every 5min. At random when car start CD ejects and units returns back to normal (no hdd).
Can some body tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thank you

Yes I can do all then. Firmware version is not changed and hdd shows 0mb. When firmware CD is in the drive unit keeps resetting every 5 min. Eject button doesn't work.
When CD is out unit seems to be running ok can read nav dvd can't access Media (probably because of the HDD).
In the firmware upgrade there are 2 files *.MDS and *.ISO. Which one should I use to burn the CD using Nero?
The mds is just a descriptor file for the iso. Choose that one.
If fw load works it will say Swl success.
Just before it reboots, look closely at the screen. It might say something like invalid Swl source.
If that's the case then the cd doesn't have valid files to load.
Most likely if the image is good then it is the cd. Make sure you are burning at the slowest speed available. Try another brand of cd or even try a dvdr.

Not sure what I'm doing wrongTried 4 different type if disk 2 cds and 2 dvds CD-R DVD-R and DVD+R all the same.
System finds the update, system reboots to VW logo with insert SWL-CD and nothing reboots again. No error messages nothing.
Tried to use MDS file, that one makes disk unreadable.
Can you recommend DVD media type to use.
I use TDK gold CDRs, but I've also used super dodgy Corporate Express CDs and they worked too. Do you have another burner available?
Otherwise maybe see if you can get a member from down your way to assist with a CD that they know works.
It has to be either an unreadable disk or the checksum is wrong so SWL is invalid....
