So, without VAGCOM (?) cable or experience in anything electronic at all (!) how do I find out what version of firmware and or map I have?

just thought I'd mention the v4.1 disc CD_7492 has POI's compatible with firmware 3xxx, sadly still has the same old maps as v4 though

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 20 pages of back and forth, did i just hear correctly that version 4.1 map POI's are working with firmware 3xxx? Is this confirmed? I feel like there should be some inspirational music playing along with that comment!!!!!!!
