RNS500 How much second hand

Can anyone tell me how much a second hand RNS500 Stacker with MP3 capability would be worth?

I have an 06 Passat V6 4Motion and the head unit doesn't play MP3's if it wasn't an expensive excercise I wouldn't mind upgrading to a newer headunit with MP3 capability.

Will the VW Ipod cable I have now just plug into the newer head unit?

I think you mean the RCD 500. RNS is navigation and there was no 500 model.

You need one that has come out of a MY08 or later as these all had MP3 capability. Most have a MP3 logo around the slot to indicate it.

The cable will plug in fine except if you go for a third generation headunit like the RCD 510 or RNS 510 as these require a cable to be moved.
