No, a bit disappointing when you pay 40k plus for a car with a sound system that cant play MP3 CD's

I am trying to weigh out if I should just replace the system with a WD6050 Waywell or RNS510 (way too expensive) or AVC9000-1

    Comments anyone??

you cant just swap in a aftermarket 2din headunit? i have a single fold out display. Does ipod, dvd, mp3, radio, rear camera, aux in, optical in, blahblahblah, only thing is u cant watch videos while driving. Can be bypassed but i havnt done it cos i figure its there for a reason. i dont know how much you were looking at spending, but for what it does and the quality im very happy with mine. Hope this helps, http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...ad.php?t=29042 some pics of mine.

Thanks for the reply dylan but I wanted to keep the OEM look and the
    WD6050 Waywell, RNS510, AVC9000-1 will maintain that.

I picked my Rns510 for $1100 from ebay... whereas the nearest equilavent was a pioneer with a 30 gig hdd and gps for $2000. I wouldn't say the rns is that expensive in comparison to other decks
