RNS-510 retrofit to Touareg

Hi Guys,

I am in the market for an suv possibly a 2nd hand touareg. Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit an RNS-510 to an 04 or 05 Touareg? I recently retrofitted one to my MKV R32 with no issues at all. Just wondered if there was a point at which they would not be compatable.

I also believe you can not retro fit into an 04 05 anyway because of the sofware and internals of the car. I had an 05 my self and came about having the same problem. 08 onwards from what I believe is possible. I know now I have an 09 you can retro fit but it is a different unit with a unique code only for touareg it also has the sd not underneath the screen but beside it on the left hand side.
