Issue was worse this weekend. 4 out of about 6 starts of the car and the radio changed to Nova.
Nova previously had been position 3, but has now been removed from all the preset options.
Starting to suspect me and the car have different tastes in music
Should be getting a service in a few months, I will get them to flash the unit and see if that helps.
Was playing with mine the other day and found a setting for always go to favourite TP station So if that is enabled and you are on a different station and are in the area of the fav one or its strength is strongest it may decide to change to it.
Worth a look anyway. I have TP unticked so it doesn't appear.

My RNS510 randomly changes to Hope FM or something like that on startup (at least that's when I notice it). I thought it was something to to with TP and fiddled the settings and thought it was fixed but it still randomly does it.
I wouldn't call my problem often, sometimes twice in a week then not for a month... it seems totally random.
The sad part is when I find myself sining along to some crappy song I feel dirty just knowing the words too![]()

Hey I had the same problem , but I fixed the issue after re-setting Radio to factory state. I have other problem now
; station list wont stay programmed . They clear every time car turns off. Any ideas why?
Alex
Sounds like it's not getting permanent power when you turn off the car. Something that is hard to do with the quadlock connector handing everything. I'd be probing the wires to ensure it's getting power when the car is off.
Is it a factory install or aftermarket?

The user data like radio presets, previous nav destinations etc are stored in EEPROMs.
They don't need power. If you take the RNS out of the car and then put it back in it should remember the settings.
So if settings are being lost there may be a problem with unit itself.
