RNS-510 and Kufatec Fiscon Basic-plus experience

Hi, I just recently installed the Kufatec Fiscon basic-plus and wanted to comment on it for anyone wanting to go this route. I have a mkv R32 and had the RNS-510 dealer installed on delivery. The kufatec was installed by Northfield Moorooka. The inital transfer of the phonebook to the RNS-510 was slow. first few attempts took 20 mins, then about never.... then after a reset of the phone function on the rns every other time after that took no more than 5 mins total, but i noticed after pairing the phone to the rns-510, if you click on the phonebook icon on the rns and wait there as it says no phonebook loaded or something, it sort of nudges the unit to actually load the phonebook, at which point in about 10 seconds it says loading phonebook or something, else it doesnt load, or takes forever....

Voice clarity is apparently excellent, so says my brother on the other end of the line. Integration is excellent, radio volume drops automatically to accommodate the phone, my ringtone plays through the car speakers and all in all its just really cool to have a phone function in a car

I got mine installed yesterday (RCD510) and it is brilliant! Drew from Northfiled Moorooka installed it, including the software changes to fully intergrate it. I was a bit concerned that my Blackberry Bold would not work with all the possible features but it does (except the music streaming which i dont need). My phone book loaded immidietly and the dialing from the touch screen is really cool. This has to be the best car kit on the market for a VW!...and at half the price the dealer wanted.

I found to get music to stream, all you have to do is go to your media player on your phone and play something. The audio automatically gets routed to the car, since the car is acting as the bluetooth handsfree. And once youre playing something on your phones media player, if you go to the Kufatec Fiscon menu on your MFD -> A2DP, you can actually change tracks from there.... Give it a try, it should work on most (any) bluetooth phone?
    Regards

Thanks Silver32...will give it a go. My Bold is really for mail and calls (not hip enough to store my 80's collection on it) but will try it just to see if works. Ju

just a guess, Silver R32 in Brisbane and had recently had BT kit installed at Northfeild Moorooka PLUS Silver 32 on Forum also based in Brisbane...stab in the dark....Drew also mentioned that he did swollowtails stereo work when the dealer forgot to tick the upgrade stereo box. Got the sense that they have a good reputation amonst the VW community.

What phone is it? Bluetooth is one of those things that is still a bit hit and miss.. However pairing the phonebook should only take 10sec max after you get in the car.

They do great work there, worth the extra. I'm not sure which Dyn's come from the VW option but i'm sure the after market ones would be better..

They have accomodated my audio needs as well, if anyone want a listen to my setup i could arrange it.. very nice.

    Its a Nokia E71, I also paired a Nokia 6110 navigator and a SonyEricsson W705 successfully.

It's good if you can test it with the phone first but guess it's a bit hard. I just knew the skoda kit would work with my phones from other peoples comments, but not too many complaints about the Fiscon either just have to do enough research if possible.
