My two cents. If you bought rear parking sensors form a dealer on a new car, and they dont integrate with the head unit. I would be going back to the dealer and saying, fix it. Unless the dealer specifically told you that the sensors would not integrate with the unit, then you have all rights to believe they would behave as per the manual, in which they come up on the display.
Dealers problem, Dealer has to fix. Not your problem if he tried to take shortcuts, but if he did, then you have grounds for misrepresentation as buying new from a dealer with sensors fitted by the dealer indicates they should work as if fitted by the factory, unless you are given something to sign and acknowledge that the sensors would not perform as normal.
