I am looking at buying the below from Ebay.

Does anyone know what sort of money this will cost to install?

That link is not working, but I believe it would be around $350. I don't think anyone other than a professional installer would be willing to do this as it is quite complex. Feel free to give it a go though, maybe you're lucky enough to have a guru near you, but it'll still cost you more than just a beer.

Mine was around $150 to install it through Audi Upgrades. They'll only install it if you buy it through them though.

For the badge RVC? They said it was $350 here:

AFAIK also their workshops are independent anyway i.e. not part of Audi Upgrades, just affiliated installers. No reason why they won't install it - maybe they just have cheaper install prices if you buy through Audi Upgrades.

Not what I was quoted, but then again I did couple it with a Bluetooth install so I got it cheaper. Don't remember being anywhere near $350.

There are two versions of these cameras on Ebay One has an RCA connection for the video feed and is not the same as the OEM one which has a different connector that marries up to the 26 pin connector on the headunit.

The RCA version is $285 on EBAY atm the OEM version is a lot more.

It depends what headunit you are connecting it to which you should buy.

I looked at fitting one to our Polo but even doing it myself , after buying an RCD510 for about $350+ and the camera for $350+, an adapter for $50? and the time to do it I was looking at $800 approx so thought it not worth the trouble

I charge the same regardless where you bought it from.
But, it's much easier to find the solution if for instance, you've bought the LED tail lights for the Golf6 and one of the light has a problem or the wiring adaptor doesn't fit or something. Then, it's only one phonecall to Audi Upgrades and we would work something out. Where, if you've bought from the ebay, then you're on your own to sort it out with the ebay seller, paying for the time lost and who knows what else?

If you buy of the ebay, then you're responsible for the quality of the parts, not the installer, and it can mean the delay in the installation and additional charges. It happened few times now that, the wiring that customer brought to me with the BT kit or RVC was damaged or incomplete or even the wrong BT kit for the car.
