    Retro-fitting Carplay

    Hi all,

I had a quick look through old topics for this but couldn't find anything on this.

I was wondering if there was any way to retrofit Carplay/App Connect into a 2014 Jetta? Does it run in the standard touchscreen as a software upgrade?

    Cheers!

Still looking around, but according to this it's possible for the MIBii unit.

App Connect can now be retrofitted by VW on 2016MY Golfs - VW Golf R MK7 Chat - VW R Owners Club

2014 requires a new unit, a whole heap of coding and a new USB port as well. It's doable but not cheap.
