Replacing RCD 310 to RNS 510

Hi Everybody,

I am new on the platform. I would like to mention about my problem what i am having currently.

I had RCD 310 in my Jetta 2013 TDI, I changed it to RNS 510 (without VCDS coding etc.)
then i turned on the device everything was good except navi. because navi was showing West Eu map. Therefore i wanted to change it to V13 East EU map.

Then I prepared SD cart with the v13 map and DVD which is for copy files from SD to HDD.
however, after that i uploaded the map by following procedures in here "https://paulroberts69.wordpress.com/2015/10/01/upgrading-firmware-and-maps-on-vw-rns-510-satnav/"

the map info showing "-". that means although everything was performed ok, the even current map has been deleted.

I appreciate for your help .

Is there something wrong with the DVD drive?
Can you try loading the map directly from the DVD?

No i did not do it yet. onoe more thing there is no GPS antenna (i think it should not affect the head right?)

Not having a GPS antenna connected will not prevent the maps from loading and displaying correctly.
It just won't show the correct position on the map.

When i put dvd, the map is showing copying to HDD. after that is done, the device restart itself. then i check the version info, it shows "-" for map info. and when i pressed nav button, it says "please insert map dvd".

Might be a problem with the HDD.
Can you copy music to it?
Does it have a HDD?
Early versions did not have one at all, nav comes from DVD

Yes, HDD have around 100 pcs mp3. i check HDD deleting couple mp3. but i did not try to copy.

What firmware version is installed?

5238 is currently seen in version info.
