^ if your in nsw, fhrx is definately a very good option!

    in victoria:
tower audio (in oakleigh) did my install, i looked around alot and i decided to go with them. theres also:

    stylyn (in boronia and moorabin)
freeway car audio (malvern and dandenong)
    GL pro sound (essendon)
    phatt audi concepts

(((they are all very high quality installers)))
like everything..you get what you pay for.

edit: in my opinion, the install is just as important as the system.

I used Tower Audio for my Audi Phat Noise & Car Phone Kit install - very nice job.

Unfortunately they are not a Pioneer dealer and since I am putting in the Pioneer AVIC-HD3 into my new Jetta they cannot do it.

Currently I have Autobarn in Fountain gate pegged to do the install.

Has anyone a bit more info on the 2007 Jetta speaker system. Does the speakers cut the mustard or do they require replacement.

Also, does the Jetta have a sub-woofer as part of the standard 8 speaker system?

    Cheers,
    Geoff.

First up, you might want to check that the jetta doesn't have a cam-bus set up. from what im told, the mk 5's do. And if it doesnt, any installer should be able to install your deck. The beuty of new decks is that all the wires are color coded.

As for the rest of it, just start crawling around in the car listening for bass notes, you may find the sub. but it might not, being an 8 speaker set up, if it whre 9, i'd say yes it has one.

Someone correct me if im wrong, but dont mk5's have a 3 way set up in the front, and then a rear fill in the rear doors? that would make 8 speakers in total.

Had a good talk with Gareth from Autobarn Narre Warren today.
He told me that only certain Pioneer dealers have the approval of Pioneer to install the AVIC-HD3 due to the higher degree of difficulty installing the unit. Pioneer will not provide tech support to unqualified installers (I fully understand this as our installers need the proper training and qualifications to install our gear as well).

Nothing worse than having an unqualified person f&^cking up a job - try and claim warranty then :\

Currently in the process of arranging for Barloworld Glen Waverley teeing up the install from Autobarn so I can claim the complete car purchase (including AVIC installation) on my lease - bit harder than I thought.
