RDC510 plus Canbus plus Bluetooth Fiscon Basic Thingy.

Hi all,
I had some questions that i couldn't find using search there as are a huge number of results.

I have a VW 2005 Golf Mk5 1.9 TDI

It has a RED MFD screen (Between tach and speedo)

It currently has an RCD300 ultra basic Head unit installed.

I recently purchased a used original RCD510

After my reading, i understand to install the RCD510 i believe i need to update the canbus module. BUT it must be the correct one for a RED MFD that can have a bluetooth device installed. I have no idea which is the correct Canbus module for this car and this head unit that accepts bluetooth with A2DP and connection to my iphone5 and iphone6. Ideally i want to display caller info on the headunit and a wish on the MFD.

I really like the Fiscon Basic bluetooth thingy though it is expensive.

So my questions are as follows for the VW Audio gurus out there.

What canbus should i use on my car (Part No.)
Will the 9w7 bluetooth unit do the job as above with the correct canbus?
Will the Fiscon basic bluetooth thingy be better as eventually i want to do an upgrade to an RNS510

Lastly i have an alpine amp and 4 great speakers to install after the headunit upgrade. Should i do any prep work while im doing the Headunit or is there things i should look out for.

Id be interested to see who's used that fiscon unit as well as my wife's mk5 has an rcd510 and I'd love to get her hands free on it.

So i just got a Volkswagen Can Bus Gateway 1K0 907 530E I believe this needs a software upgrade to stop the power leak. But will work and also will need programming.


I also have my headunit on the way VW-5K0 035 190 B should arrive today i hope. Still not sure what Bluetooth i can go with A2DP.
