how often do you really have the radio off when you're in the car?
Has anybody successfully found a switched 12v output from an RCD510 to use as an amp trigger?
I've buzzed out pretty much every pin and can't find one.
Pin 10 on connector 5 claims to be a "CD changer, control line, switched positive", but I could only measure 2.7v off it and it didn't appear to switch. Maybe it needs to see a CD changer to work?
And 2.7V isn't enough to switch my amp anyway.
Currently I'm powering my amp off the boot cigarette lighter socket, which switches on/off with the ignition.
So if I don't have the radio on the amp is still on, which then picks up various farts and splats.
Thanks in advance for any help.
