Rcd510 Japanese support

Hi,
I came here from other side of the globe hoping to find the answer.
Ive rcd510 in my car which I mostly use with my phone to listen to Youtube. The problem is that I listen a lot to japanese songs, and instead of kanji characters I get squares.
Is it possible to add japanese language support?

Doubt it but you could look around and buy a Japanese model but depending on your country the frequencies may be different

No update firmware option?
I'll be getting in the near future the Discover retrofited, had hopes to get it sorted before. Kinda irritating, but what is weird that sometimes the MFD will show some of the kanji where on the radio its all squares.

You would need to change some low level settings on the board using setconfig or similar before being able to load Japanese firmware onto the unit. Then it would all be in Japanese, it wouldn't just add Japanese character support.
